Would you get a barcode tattooed on you somewhere to prevent Identity theft?

I was talking with someone the other day who suggested that this would be the perfect thing to stop identity theft. Scan it like a credit card when applying for lines of credit etc. Do you think they own an aluminum foil hat too?
