So this company just called my cell phone, not sure how they got the number, but they had my address, phone number, name, witch was just recently changed 3 days ago because i got married, but they had my new last name and everything.. They wanted to send me a package with 500 dollar gift card for online shopping only, and 3 day and 2 night stay at a hotel, and along with it 3 other packages, Identity theft program, unlimited shopping discounts, and unlimited long distance calling. Now they say that aftereceivecive my packages in the ups in 3-5 business days, i can start using my gift card, and i need to go over all the lil packages, and i don’t want one or any of them i have to call a number and tell them and then i wont be charged, but i only have 7 days to do it. other wish they will charge me 29.95 per package. So to me this all sounds great, even though i used to be in telemarketing when i was younger, it really didnt sound like a scam, i mean there probley hoping that u forget to call and they get to charge you, but it does sound great. Now my question is, i went through the entire verification process, gave them my card number and the expiration date, and i stoped right before i said the last 3 numbers on back of my card, now they already had thoes number, because i told it to them before, so this guy goes, its _ _ _ and i was like wait hold on… i dont wanna do this, i am researching your company, and i cant find any information on you, and he couldnt give me an answer why.. so i argued with him and the manager and said if they called me back tomorrow, i will tell them yes or no, and the manager started to yell at me and fight with me, basically telling me im dumb, and i dont understand her, and a bunch of stuff, so i eventually, after 45 minutes, hung up on them. So i really need to know if they will and can charge my card still, even though i didnt say the last three numbers on the back of my card during the verification process? Im worried because they already had the numbers, they just wanted me to repeat them over a recording.. So please tell me what i should do and if these people were really a scam, or did i just miss out on a good opportunity… thanks
